Landing: News Content Type Guide
Displaying News on Homepages
Up to five news articles can be displayed on the Alternative Home content type using the News Display component. Featured articles are managed on the Landing: News content type editing screen under "Home Page Features".
News Views
The Drupal version of the RCCL features Views which automatically collect and display content in one place. News related content has three associated views that function out of the box:
- In The News - 'YourDomain.edu/in-the-news'
This view displays all Media Mentions content type entries. - News Archive - 'YourDomain.edu/news/archive'
This view displays all news content entries. - News Topics
Each news topic has an associated views page. To see topic views, go to 'YourDomain.edu/taxonomy/term/ID', where ID is the numerical taxonomy ID.
If you need to customize views, please speak with your website administrator or developer.
50/25/25 News Feature
The 50/25/25 News Feature displays a large news feature to the left and two smaller articles to the right. This component can display external/internal content types (e.g. Article, Feature: External Content).

Fourths News Feature displays four news features in a row. This component can display external/internal content types (e.g. Article, Feature: External Content).

Tabbed News Aggregator displays curated tabs of news content. Each tab can contain any of the following components: External/Internal content types, Featured Summaries, Fourth News Feature, 50/25/25 News Feature, and 50/50 Split News Feature.
