Filtered News Display
About the Filtered News Display
Use this component to showcase news items automatically based on selecting them as featured or based on assigned taxonomy term ID. This is a dynamic view that is automatically populated with the taxonomy terms for News.
Display ID Options
- "Featured" displays up to one item based on the articles and feature articles tagged to a taxonomy term and marked as "featured" under an item's promotional options menu.
- "Filtered Summaries" displays 3 stories based on a taxonomy term. In the Option field, enter in the taxonomy term ID you’d like to be featured here in the “Argument” field.
- “Filtered” displays the nine (9) most recent stories either most recently added to the site or if you add an argument the 9 most recent stories tagged to a particular topic term ID.
Display ID: Featured
Shows most recently published article marked featured (via Promotion Options, see below), title, image, category, article title (link), summary (if included). You can show the item marked "Featured" for a particular topic/category, if you add a Topic Term ID, in the Argument field.

Where Can the Filtered News Display be Used?
The Filtered News Display component is available by default in the RCCL on:
- Landing: Informational
- Landing: Secondary
- Landing: Marketing CTs
It is also used to generate the Story Aggregator CT (see Section 25 for more info on that content type).
Mark an Article as Featured
To mark an article, as featured, go to the article and "edit" it. In the editing screen, on the right side, open the "Promotion Options" and check the box so that it's marked as "Featured." (See image below.)
